“Your future wealth is being shaped by the financial decisions you make today.”

Opening Story

Imagine meeting your future self 10 years from today.

❓What do you think he/she would say to you?

❓Would he/she thank you for buying another gadget you didn’t really need?

❓Would he/she thank you for spending every salary increase?

❓Would he/she thank you for waiting until you earned more before starting to save?

Or would he/she say:

“Thank you for starting when you did.”

Your future self will amaze with what you have accumulated from today
Your future self will amaze with what you have accumulated from today

The truth is, most people don’t regret starting too

They regret waiting too long.

They regret saying:

“I’ll start next month.”

Then next month became next year.

And next year became five years later.

The biggest advantage in wealth building isn’t always having the highest income.

Often, it’s having something far more valuable:

Time.

And once time passes, you can never buy it back.

Today’s Lesson

When it comes to building wealth, starting early gives your habits more time to grow.

You don’t necessarily need to start with a huge amount.

You need to start with enough discipline to continue.

Think about two people.

Person A Starts Early

Person A begins saving a small amount consistently at the age of 25.

The amount isn’t impressive.

But the habit is consistent.

Year after year, they continue saving, learning and building assets.

Person B Waits

Person B says:

“I’ll start when I earn more.”

Then:

“I’ll start after I settle my commitments.”

Then:

“I’ll start next year.”

Ten years pass.

Person B may now earn more money.

But Person A has something Person B doesn’t:

✴️Ten years of financial habits.

✴️Ten years of experience.

✴️Ten years of accumulated savings.

✴️Ten years of learning.

✴️Ten years of progress.

That’s the power of starting early.

Time gives your good decisions more opportunity to work.

Gold Mentoring Insight

When people ask me:

“Ida, how much money do I need before I can start saving gold?”

My answer is usually:

“The more important question is—how soon can you begin developing the habit?”

Of course, you should never neglect your essential financial responsibilities.

👉Your emergency fund matters.

👉Your debts matter.

👉Your family commitments matter.

You should never create unnecessary financial stress just to own gold.

But once your basic financial foundation is being managed responsibly, you can start thinking about long-term asset accumulation.

And this is where starting early can make a meaningful difference.

Imagine accumulating gold gradually over:

1 year.

Then compare that with:

10 years.

You don’t necessarily need to accumulate everything immediately.

You can build progressively.

One small purchase.

One saving decision.

One gram.

One milestone.

Then another.

The goal is not to become wealthy overnight.

The goal is to give yourself enough time to build.

The Advantage of Time

Let’s look at a simple example.

Imagine your goal is to accumulate 100 grams of gold.

You have two choices.

Option A: Start Today

You give yourself several years.

You can accumulate gradually according to your financial capacity.

You have time to adjust your strategy.

You have time to learn.

You have time to build the habit.

Option B: Wait Until Later

You postpone the decision.

Five years pass.

Now you still want 100 grams.

But you have less time.

That may mean you need to allocate more money each month to reach the same target.

And depending on market conditions, the cost of accumulating the same amount may also be different.

Nobody knows exactly what future gold prices will be.

But one thing is certain:

Starting earlier gives you more flexibility.

And financial flexibility is valuable.

Don’t Wait Until You Feel Ready

Here’s something important:

Most people never feel completely ready.

You may never feel like you have enough money.

You may never feel like all your financial commitments are perfectly organised.

You may always find another reason to delay.

If you wait for the perfect financial moment, you may wait forever.

Instead, focus on progress.

Ask yourself:

“What can I responsibly do today that will make my future easier?”

✅Maybe it’s saving RM100.

✅Maybe it’s reducing one unnecessary expense.

✅Maybe it’s building your first emergency fund.

✅Maybe it’s learning about gold.

✅Maybe it’s setting your first financial goal.

The action doesn’t have to be dramatic.

It simply needs to move you forward.

Your Future Self Doesn’t Need Perfection

Your future self won’t expect you to have made every perfect decision.

Nobody does.

You may make mistakes.

You may experience financial setbacks.

You may have months when you can’t save as much.

That’s normal.

The objective isn’t perfection.

The objective is direction.

❓Are you moving towards a stronger financial future?

❓Or are you constantly postponing it?

Your future self will appreciate:

⚡️The emergency fund you started.

⚡️The unnecessary debt you avoided.

⚡️The financial knowledge you learned.

⚡️The assets you accumulated.

⚡️The savings habit you developed.

⚡️The long-term decisions you made when nobody was watching.

These decisions may not feel exciting today.

But one day, they can become the reason you have more choices.

And having choices is one of the greatest forms of financial freedom.

Practical Action

Today, write a short letter from your Future Self.

Imagine yourself 10 years from now.

Then complete these sentences:

1. Thank You for Starting __________

What financial habit do you wish you had started today?

Saving?

Investing?

Building an emergency fund?

Accumulating assets?

Learning about money?

2. Thank You for Stopping __________

What financial habit would your future self be grateful you stopped?

Impulse spending?

Unnecessary debt?

Lifestyle inflation?

Buying things to impress people?

Following financial trends without understanding them?

3. Thank You for Building __________

What do you want to have built in 10 years?

A strong emergency fund?

A debt-free lifestyle?

A portfolio of assets?

Gold holdings?

A business?

Financial security for your family?

4. My First Step Starts Today

Don’t create a complicated plan.

Choose one action.

One realistic action.

Then take it.

Today.

Not next month.

Not next year.

Today.

Motivation of the Day

“Your future self is being created by the decisions your present self is making right now.”

Final Thoughts

One day, you will look back at this moment.

⚠️You may not remember what you bought this week.

⚠️You may not remember every meal you ordered.

⚠️You may not remember every sale you took advantage of.

But you will remember the moment you decided to take control of your financial future.

✅The day you started saving.

✅The day you stopped spending everything.

✅The day you built your emergency fund.

✅The day you began learning about assets.

✅The day you accumulated your first gold.

✅The day you decided that your future deserved a place in your financial priorities.

You don’t need to start perfectly.

You don’t need to start big.

You don’t need to know everything.

But you do need to understand one thing:

Waiting doesn’t build wealth.

Action does.

And the earlier you start building good financial habits, the more time you give yourself to benefit from them.

Your future self isn’t asking you to become rich overnight.

Your future self is simply asking:

“Can you start today?”

Start Your Gold Journey

Starting your gold journey doesn’t mean rushing to buy the biggest gold bar you can afford.

It means understanding where gold fits into your overall financial plan.

First, build a strong foundation.

⚡️Manage your essential commitments.

⚡️Build emergency savings.

⚡️Reduce unhealthy debt.

⚡️Protect your family appropriately.

Then consider how long-term assets may fit into your financial strategy.

For those who decide that gold is appropriate for their objectives, starting early can allow more time to accumulate gradually.

You may begin by learning about:

✴️Physical Gold Bars

✴️Gold Dinars

✴️Gradual Gold Accumulation through GAP

The right approach depends on your financial capacity and personal objectives.

My role as a Gold Mentor is not to promise quick profits.

It’s to help you develop a clearer understanding of gold, financial discipline and long-term asset accumulation.

Because wealth building isn’t about making one perfect decision.

It’s about making good decisions consistently—and giving them time.

⚠️Don’t wait until you feel completely ready.

⚠️Don’t wait until you think you have enough.

⚠️Don’t wait until the perfect moment arrives.

✅Start learning.

✅Start planning.

✅Start building.

Because 10 years from now, your future self may look back at today and say:

“Thank you for starting when you did.”
